Get to know SEEL TC

In 1986, Sister Dee Marie Reeder, a Holy Name Sister from the area, trained in Seattle to offer the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius locally. She invited twelve people from the parish and directed them through the program.

After that first year, five participants agreed to help direct others. When Sister Dee Marie was transferred to Alaska, she encouraged the new directors to continue with God’s help. SEEL Tri-Cities continues to offer a robust spiritual experience, director training, supervision, and attention to ethics and spiritual-direction practice.

Our mission

SEEL is a nine-month retreat in everyday life based on Ignatian spirituality, with trained spiritual directors who accompany participants in prayer, connection with the Triune God, freedom to follow God’s call, and awareness of each person’s unique God-given purpose.

SEEL TC envisions a world where hearts are set on fire with the love of God and people discover what God wants for their lives through prayer and discernment.
